Boris FX has released the latest version of Sapphire, its suite of VFX plugins.
Sapphire 2023 boasts a wide range of new features and effects, including S_PrismLens, a refracted light effect meant to mimic shooting through an actual prism; and S_UltraGrain, which recreates the effect of film or camera grain. Both new features come bundled with several presets.
The release also includes a new transition, S_DissolveUltraGlow, and a new set of lens flares, as well as Meal Support for Auroria and Median.
While the new range of features offered are exciting, there have been reports of technical and compatibility issues with the upgrade, which Boris FX has listed here.
Pricing for Sapphire 2023 for new licenses cost $1695 for Adobe/OFX or $2795 for multi-host licenses. Subscription pricing is also available starting at $62 / month.
