Backblaze has announced the release of version 8.5 of its flagship Computer Backup program.
The new version is compatible with both Windows and MacOS platforms and boasts a few new enhancements along with the bug fixes and performance improvements bundled with major upgrades.
While the biggest enhancement is to the MacOS version, which has been in Backblaze’s announcement, “completely redesigned from the ground up,” both Windows and MacOS versions offer improved efficiency and reduced false-positives for its Safety Freeze Feature.
Backblaze will be auto-updating all users in the coming weeks, but the 8.5 update is available to manually install through its desktop app.
